Quaint lp of delicate folk music with precious harmonies from Barbara, Cob, Clive, and Steve, accompanied by acoustic guitars, double bass, and tambourine.
Few original titles but great deal of British charm enlivening cherished traditionals like ‘When The Stars Begin To Fall’, ‘When I Survey The Wonderous Cross’ to a Welsh tune, ‘We Shall Not Be Moved’, and ‘Amazing Grace’. Also songs by Parchment, Judy MacKenzie, Tom Paxton, and The Seekers. ‘The Football Supporter’ is an interesting verbal soliloquy recited with strong Cockney accent in the tradition of ‘First Day In Church’ (Nigel Goodwin, Larry Norman) comparing cheering football fans to Jesus’ glum silent supporters.
The first release on this very rare highly sought after collectible Profile label.
